You’re my one and only…..

From today, I will no longer be double blogging. It's the end of the road for my old blog, asI have chosen to concentrate all efforts on this one. It's a sad day for me, as I made a lot of friends at 20six, and I hope they continue to read my blog over here.

Anyway, since it's all over, let's talk about yesterday.....'the day of of the devil' or '06-06-06'. Someone thought it would be a good idea to release a remake of the movie 'Omen' yesterday, a movie that TERRIFIED me as a kid (I still haven't had to courage to watch it, and I don't think I ever will). Anyway, spare a thought for horror film fan Suzanne Cooper.

Suzanne gave birth yesterday, and named her baby Damien after the kid in the movie, but unlike the movie, her son was actually born on 06/06/06, the full number of the beast. But that's not where it ends. Suzzzane is 36, was in labour for 6 days, and gave birth at 6am (well, not strictly true 6.59am, but work with me), and the baby weighed in at a chilling 6lb 6oz.

Not I don't know about you, but that's spooky. I'd be keeping an eye on that little nipper if I was her......

  1. First, wellcome to your "new" home. I think it is lovely and will be visiting you on a regular basis. Don't be sad, I am sure your 20six friends will keep in touch.
Second, I LOVE the quote at the top of your blog. It is a great one that I am going to make a note of and post it on my firdge for my family and friends to read.
Thrid, That is really stinking freaky about that lady. I don't buy that she was really in labor for 6 days but there would be no denying his weight and birth time and date... YIKES. I would be sleeping with one eye open if I were her.

  2. Thanks youngmummy !!

The quote at the top of the blog changes every day, so there's always something inspirational up there.

And yes, I'm sure she fibbed about being in labour, and she tried to say she gave birth at 6am, but there are some really freaky things about that kid.

  3. I'm with YM on the "sleeping with one eye open" business!!

  4. You know, I remember watching that movie with my aunt while we were folding laundry (she was living with my family then). It was SO SCARY I think I've blocked out even the basic storyline.
As for 20six, I think the changes they've implemented have made it the same as any other blogsite for sense of community - you have to visit other blogs to stay in touch (rather than seeing new posts or comments on your X number of favourite bloggers).
