England beat the Swiss in a match that didn't flatter them, but they got the required result. The three goals were scored by two players that were born and raised in Liverpool(and still live there), Everton's Wayne Rooney and Liverpool's Stevie G. I do not agree with Sven's decision to play John Terry, I felt he did not play well today, and Ledley King would have been a better choice, based on his performance in the game against France. But then, who listens to me?
France on the other hand looked very dissapointing, and were lucky in my view to draw with Croatia (2-2). This result means that this group is still wide open and the two places will be decided on the final day. England need to draw with Croatia to go through, and France need to beat Switzerland. I suspect that both England and France will go through, but France are not proving to be the pre-tournament favourites they were touted to be, and I don't think they will do well. England on the other hand, have to be careful, their inexperience may still count against them as they move on in the competition.
